First we take extra care of your property by protecting your homes exterior utilizing the Catch-All netting system, using rubber wheel dumpsters on your driveway, and netting on your garden plants.
All wood modifications for roof ventilation start now, including cutting out squares for cans, openings at peaks for ridge vents and, if smart venting is needed, a channel is cut approximately 3 shingles' distance from the edge.
Winterguard Ice and Water Shield goes in all valleys, 6 ft from the edge of the roof, and around all stink pipes. This delivers protection against water intrusion from ice dam buildups, weather, and aging.
We use RoofRunner, a synthetic, polymer-based scrim-reinforced underlayment. That means one thing—advanced protection against water intrusion, as each nail is sealed as it penetrates the surface
All the while, roof edges have an extra wide drip edge and starter strips installed as an additional protection at a roof's most vulnerable point. Chimneys and walls get custom bent metal flashing and a silicone sealant.
Next, we install rows of special starter shingles on the most wind-vulnerable areas of the roof—these shingles are designed to mitigate the force of heavy winds for the rest of the roof.
The CertainTeed Landmark Pro shingles get installed, delivering protection against algae buildup, heat transfer, and aging. All necessary venting components get installed while shingles get nailed down, and it all finishes with a true ridge cap shingle topped by silicone sealant.
